Eat More Not Less: Pizza

It’s pizza night!  Instead of ordering delivery, why not get friends or family involved and have fun creating your own pizzas?  Get creative with your favorite toppings. By adding more veggies, you can add to your health and pizza enjoyment.

A traditional homemade “supreme” pizza, such as in the recipe below, has 286 calories and 22 grams of fat per slice (1 slice is 1/8 of a medium pizza)!

We found a lighter version of this pizza that uses a thinner crust, scales down the amount of meat, and is stacked high with bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms (but feel free to use any veggies you like).  The recipe has only 172 calories and 5.7 grams of fat per slice.  We promise your loved ones will find this recipe irresistible!

Regular Supreme Pizza

Serving: 1 slice (1/8 of medium pizza)

Calories: 286

Fat: 22 g

Lighter Supreme Pizza

Serving: 1 slice (1/8 of medium pizza)

Calories: 172

Fat: 5.7 g
